All children follow a Living, Learning, Together programme which seeks to meet children's personal, emotional, social and health needs. The PD&MU programme also encourages children to become confident, independent and responsible citizens who are able to make informed and responsible decisions. The programme includes Relationships and Sexuality Education, Drug Awareness, Anti-bullying and Internet Safety. Ballymena Primary is an officially recognised Health Promoting School and offers the Heart start programme to all Year 7 pupils.
